has 19 songs in the following movies and tv shows.
Formed in 2004, Band of Horses is an American rock band from Charleston, South Carolina. The band's lineup currently consists of five members: Ben Bridwell (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Monroe (keyboards, guitar), Tyler Ramsey (guitar, backing vocals), Bill Reynolds (bass) and Creighton Barrett (drums). Band of Horses' music has been described as sounding like "a cross between Neil Young and My Morning Jacket." The band's debut album, Everything All the Time, was released in 2006 to positive reviews. The album's lead single, "The Funeral", became a sleeper hit and helped propel the album to commercial success. The band's second album, Cease to Begin, was released in 2007 and was also well-received by critics. The album's first single, "Is There a Ghost", became the band's highest charting single to date, peaking at number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The band's third album, Infinite Arms, was released in 2010 and received mixed reviews from critics. However, the album's lead single, "Laredo", was praised by many and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance. Band of Horses has released four studio albums to date: Everything All the Time (2006), Cease to Begin (2007), Infinite Arms (2010), and Mirage Rock (2012). The band has toured extensively throughout their career, playing shows all over the world. They have also performed at a number of music festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo. Given their popularity over the last decade, many tracks from their catalog have featured extensively in film and television. "No One's Gonna Love You" and "The Funeral" have been their most prominent and have collectively featured in over 20 titles, including "Money Heist" (2017), "Let's Be Cops" (2014), "Battleship" (2012), "Zombieland" (2009), "Prom" (2011) and "One Tree Hill" (2013). "Is There a Ghost" has also been used in several trailers and commercials, most notably for the film "The Hangover Part III" (2013). Band of Horses is currently working on their fifth studio album, which is set to be released sometime in 2019.
