Wearing jury-rigged spacesuits made of duct tape, Tracy and Gordo Stevens brave the moon’s vacuum to make repairs to the Jamestown nuclear reactor, in meltdown following damage sustained in a US-Soviet firefight. Tracy and Gordo successfully stabilize the reactor and make it back to the airlock, but die from the toll the vacuum exposure has taken on their bodies.
Begins as the camera pulls away from Margo at JFK’s grave in Arlington Cemetery, and runs through the closing credits.
