UPDATE: I got so hung up on the conversation that I forgot to run the episode on further. A full uncluttered version of the instrumental can be heard as the full end credit. Any ideas what it's called? Was it composed specially for th show? Anyone out there? :)

Hey, I dunno if you will see this (since I see your post was from 3 weeks ago, and unfortunately nobody responded during that time). I was just a bittt behind on this show, I started "On Demand"-ing it after it was already several episodes in, and then started catching up after that. In any case, I am on a quest to make a definitive list of ALL the songs used on this show, especially since there's so many excellent instrumental/string arrangement/saloon piano etc versions of great songs (so much awesome Radiohead!!!). I will definitely include the song you were asking about in my hunt/list, and will post back here--or wherever you would like me to--when I do find it

if it's the same as during the end credits that is most likely something by the show's composer Ramin Djawadi. It sounds like they are planning to release a soundtrack to the show, probably after the season is over. The 5-song album they put out at the end of October was a special early release, probably due to fan demand.

Immediately *AFTER* Robert Ford tinkles Clair De Lune on the piano, the Man In Black and Teddy Ford sit down to drink whiskey and Robert Ford joins them. What is the haunting music that plays under the conversation between the Man in Black and Robert Ford?

"Something I Can Never Have" is a NIN cover. It was driving me crazy too.

I thought it was something by Trent Reznor so that's why I was looking here to try and see if I was right or not...
