S1:EP1 Episode 1

On MIT campus, Riri sells homework projects to classmates to fund her inventions. The upbeat “Altar” plays as she confidently navigates the lab, until an overpowered prototype part ignites and triggers a minor fire. Riri’s hustle and ambition are on display amidst the chaos.

Kicks in as campus security escorts Riri out of the lab after her expulsion. The edgy electro-pop beat and lyrics (“♪ Turn it on, cook it up… What degree? Spill the tea ♪”) blare while Riri grabs her Ironheart suit. It heightens the chaos and humor – Riri literally “spilled the tea” with her experiment gone awry – and continues pumping as she commandeers her flight home.

In her first flight test, Riri’s suit nosedives into the street just as Gil Scott-Heron’s gritty rhythms kick in, and the crowd’s buzz and her adrenaline-fueled grin collide.

In Jim’s cluttered garage, Riri haggles over a key converter while “Lonesome Heart” strums softly—its mellow guitar underscoring her scrappy hustle to keep her AI project alive.

Riri throws herself into rebuilding her Ironheart suit while crime boss Parker Robbins (a.k.a. The Hood) endures a painful tattoo session. Nina Simone’s urgent gospel vocals explode as “Sinnerman” scores the montage. “♪ Oh, Sinnerman, where you gonna run to? ♪” Simone wails over pounding piano, mirroring Riri’s race against time and Parker’s brewing pain. The classic track injects drama and gravity – Riri soldering circuits in a frantic rhythm, Parker gritting his teeth – binding their stories with an electrifying, soulful energy until the song climaxes and the scene cuts.

S1:EP2 Episode 2

Early in the episode, Parker’s underground garage hums with this edgy electro-industrial track. About ten seconds before it kicks in, Riri arrives to meet Parker’s crew for the first time. The brash beats of “Sterilize (Male Tears Remix)” set a techy, ominous mood as the crew gears up for the heist, matching Riri’s nervous excitement at diving into their world.

As Parker introduces Clown’s wild backstory, an upbeat R&B tune (“I’ve Been Dreaming”) plays in the background. The lyric “...something is you” kicks in just as we see Clown mid-“workplace dispute” with her ex-fiancé, adding a tongue-in-cheek romantic vibe to an otherwise explosive scene. The contrast makes the introduction funny and memorable.

[also plays at end credits] During a car ride, Riri and Joe bond over an impromptu car-karaoke of “You Oughta Know.” Riri belts out Alanis Morissette’s angsty lyrics (“I want you to know that I’m happy for you…”), catching Joe off-guard in a fun way. The 90s rock energy livens up the drive and reflects Riri’s fearless, free-spirited mood in that moment.

Riri’s mom (Ronnie) listening to the music while painting when N.A.T.A.L.I.E. projects onto it. Ronnie turns around, yelling “Get behind me, Satan!” in surprise. This smooth groove playing unexpectedly turns a tense moment into a humorous one, while subtly highlighting Riri’s home vibe.

At the height of the tunnel heist, Riri and the crew fight in sync to the classic funk of “Ain’t Nobody.” The song kicks in during an elaborate multi-location action sequence – its feel-good bassline and Chaka Khan’s soulful vocals inject a playful, triumphant energy as the team outwits security. The upbeat groove makes the daring heist feel like a celebratory montage, amplifying the fun.

After the successful heist, Parker’s crew celebrates.

S1:EP3 Episode 3

Riri and the crew are celebrating a big score with toasts and even tossing cash around. When “WICKED GYAL” by BAMBII starts blasting, they all get hype, dancing around in a literal money shower. The track’s gritty, high-energy dancehall vibe perfectly matches their rowdy celebration and the chaotic, rebellious mood of the scene.

Riri’s mom, Ronnie Williams, swings the front door open and finds Ezekiel “Joe” Stane—still sweaty from sprinting over—standing on her stoop.

Just before this music cue, Riri and her bestie hype each other up for a risky plan, joking “Bonnie and Clyde back on the streets” as they agree to team up. When “Best Friend” by Saweetie hits, we see them gearing up and heading out together. The song’s fun, confident vibe perfectly captures their BFF energy and excitement as they dive into the adventure side by side.

The Hood fights with the guards in the hothouse facility.

Right before the song, things are dire: Riri’s team can’t locate someone important and time is running out. At that moment, “Kiss the Sky” by Shawn Lee’s Ping Pong Orchestra swells in as Riri rockets into the air. The song’s dreamy, uplifting vibe adds a heroic, hopeful tone as she scans from above, desperately trying to find the missing person in time.

S1:EP4 Bad Magic

Riri leaves a tense prison visit, rejoining the crew as they discuss Parker’s new tech specialist. The gritty, urgent beat matches Riri’s anxiety and the crew’s shifting dynamics, underscoring her isolation as secrets pile up.

Riri’s home, giving her mom a protective watch while trying to act normal. The playful, upbeat house track lightens the mood as Ronnie dances off her worries, but Riri’s paranoia simmers underneath.

Riri and Ronnie visit a spiritual shop for “magic.” The smooth neo-soul vibe sets a chill, supportive tone as Riri seeks guidance, blending family warmth with her search for answers about Parker’s cloak.

At the shop, Riri and the witches experiment with the cloak fragment. The funky, psychedelic groove adds a mystical, playful energy to the magical investigation and the reveal of the cloak’s dark origins.

Riri breaks into Joe’s lab, desperately trying to destroy the cloak fragment. The soulful, spiritual track echoes her struggle to heal herself and her world, as science fails against magic’s mystery.

After Parker orders a hit on Riri, the Latin trap anthem blares. The lyrics (“I’m the villain”) amplify the mood as Zeke transforms into a weapon, embracing his new identity as the MCU’s next big bad. End credits.

S1:EP5 Karma's a Glitch

Riri and Zelma debate the dangers of magic vs. science while prepping for the next move. As Santana’s groove kicks in, the tension rises—Riri’s cocky humor and the group's banter are undercut by the looming threat of Dormammu. The song’s classic warning about “evil ways” fits the crew’s risky choices and foreshadows betrayal and danger.

Riri relives a childhood memory with her late stepfather Gary, dancing in the garage. The soulful track plays as they bond, laugh, and he calls her “cutie pie.” The warmth and nostalgia of the song perfectly echo Riri’s longing for lost family and innocence, grounding her motivations in love and grief.

The crew regroups and plans their next steps after Parker’s meltdown. There’s a sense of regrouping and new resolve as they prepare for a new mission. The upbeat, modern energy of “All Nite Affair” mirrors the group’s determination to push forward despite setbacks.

Riri and her friends work late into the night, rebuilding her suit and reflecting on what’s at stake. The song’s driving beat and lyrics about fighting for a better life highlight their resilience and hope, even as they face overwhelming odds.

After a magical experiment goes wrong, Riri loses her AI friend Natalie. The haunting, moody “Hubris” plays as she processes the loss and the cost of her ambition. The song’s somber tone underlines the emotional fallout and the loneliness of Riri’s journey. End credits.

S1:EP6 The Past Is the Past

Parker Robbins, having just made a devilish deal to gain wealth and power, is left alone in a restaurant. The upbeat, underdog rap “Last Pick” kicks in as kids laugh and life resumes, echoing Parker’s ambitions to rise from being overlooked to becoming a “king.” The song’s message about being underestimated fits Parker’s new sense of destiny.

Mephisto tempts Riri with a devil’s bargain, promising to fulfill her deepest desires. As she hesitates, “Didn’t I” plays, its soulful plea mirroring Riri’s internal struggle over loss, regret, and the cost of ambition. The song’s longing vibe underscores her emotional crossroads, making her pain and doubts feel raw and real.

Riri is reunited with Natalie (her AI best friend) in a surreal, emotional sequence. The song continues, amplifying the bittersweet joy and unresolved grief of seeing Natalie again. The lyrics about trying one’s best and still losing echo Riri’s feelings of guilt and hope for redemption, making the reunion both touching and haunted.

As “Confessions” plays, Parker seeks help at a mystical shop, desperate for power. The dreamy, introspective track matches the vulnerability and unease of the moment, both Parker and the shopkeeper are sizing each other up, and the lyrics about searching for belonging and spilling secrets fit the confessional, uncertain energy of the scene.
