At the end of the show, Amy is riding Spartan and jumping over the jumps Ty made for her. Jack and Ty drive up and Jack is surprised to see what Ty built for Amy. Ty waves to Amy and Amy smiles and waves back to Ty, then continues to joyfully ride Spartan over the jumps.

Amy just told Ty, “the sooner you get out of here, the better.” And Ty moves to Briar Ridge.” Amy also confronts Jack for not telling her about her dad being there. Amy is riding Spartan and sees her dad. Their eyes meet, but Amy turns around and rides off.

After Val learns of Ty being on probation and fires him, he goes to Heartland to get the riding helmet Mallory gave him. Amy walks into the barn and asks him to say and Ty finally agrees. As the song starts, Jack sees the pile of manure that Ben and Mallory put outside of Lou’s bedroom window and tells them to move it back. Mallory sees that Ty is back and runs over to hug him. Amy is riding in the round pen on a “stubborn as a mule” horse with “zero people skills”. Jack, Lou and Scott are at the fence watching and Scott asks Amy if she has a name for the horse. Amy said “Lou” and they all share a laugh.

Carl hastily leaves Heartland, drives past Scott. Last scene is Amy riding on a trick horse, stands and then Jack, Lou, Amy, Ty, Mallory and Scott at the dinner table laughing and having a good time.

After Ty’s first cattle drive and the girls helped deliver a colt, the whole group is sitting around the dinner table having a good time (Jack, Lou, Amy, Ty, Mallory, Ben and Soraya). Later Amy is watching the new mother and colt and Ty walks up. He hints that Amy should get to know her father. She asks him about her grandfather’s cowboy hat and he tells her Jack gave it to him. She puts it on Ty and tells him he looks cute in the hat. They continue to watch the horses.

After Ty got the necklace his old delinquent girlfriend stole from Ashley, he returns to the ranch where his probation was officer, Clint, is waiting for him with Jack, Amy and Mallory. Ty takes his hand out of his jacket pocket to shake Clint’s hand and the necklace drops out. Amy sees it and Ty covers it with his boot. Ty then returns the necklace to Ashley and she tells him that doesn’t mean he wasn’t in on stealing it the first place. Ty tells her that he doesn’t have to prove anything to her. Mrs. Bell’s niece and children pick up Sugarfoot. When Ty returns on his motorcycle from Briar Ridge he challenges Amy (on a horse) to race.

Amy and Ty run into Tim when picking up feed. Amy agrees for Tim to come to the ranch for lunch. Lou and Scott riding horses and holding hands as they watch a herd of wild horses running off.

Amy gives Lou encouragement to ride a horse. In their back and forth flirting about “talking”, Amy asks Ty if he wants to talk about anything. Ty says he’s good with just sitting. Amy, Ty and Lou ride off in the trail.

This is the episode where the barn burns down. Afterwards Jack is home, Mallory, Ty, Amy and Lou sit in the floor around the coffee table. Ty throws a wad of paper at the fireplace and the girls tell about the naming stones. They are playing a game and talking and laughing. Jack is sitting in his chair watching with a (life is good… love these kids) content look.

Amy and Ty have gotten closer. Ty is conflicted by his deep feelings for Amy, Jack and Heartland and his long lost Dad, whom he had recently gotten a letter from saying he had been looking for Ty for 5 years. Ty tries to talk to Amy, but can’t find the words. He tells her that “No matter what happens” then Amy interrupts him and tells him talking is overrated. They share a passionate kiss. Jack walks in on them kissing, and says he needs to talk to Ty. he tells him that Ty can always consider Heartland home and that the loft and job always be there after Ty tells him he is thinking about going to see his dad. Later, Amy leaves the party to find Ty. She walks into the loft and discovers the drawers open and empty and Ty’s cowboy hat on the be a bench with a letter under it. Why didn’t the show ever show us the contents of the letter :(
